These Terms and Conditions govern the supply and installation of flooring products and services provided by LM Flooring (operated by Leon Murphy), based in Ashford, Co. Wicklow, Ireland (“we”, “us” or “our”). By engaging our services you agree to these terms in full. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
2. Quotations
- All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are based on measurements taken during a site visit. Any variation in actual measurements may result in a revised price.
- Quotations exclude the cost of any remedial sub-floor preparation work not identified at the time of survey unless explicitly included.
- We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation prior to formal acceptance.
3. Acceptance and Booking
A contract is formed when you confirm acceptance of our quotation and we confirm an installation date. A deposit may be required to secure your booking, as agreed at the time of quotation.
4. Payment Terms
- The balance of payment is due on completion of the installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, bank transfer and other payment methods as agreed.
- Late payment may incur interest at the rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
- Title to all goods supplied remains with LM Flooring until full payment is received.
5. Installation
- We will carry out all installations with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with relevant manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- The client is responsible for ensuring the installation area is clear of furniture and personal belongings prior to our arrival, unless removal has been agreed as part of the service.
- Existing flooring removal and disposal is available at an additional charge, as agreed in the quotation.
- Sub-floor conditions must be suitable for installation. We will notify you if remedial work is required but are not responsible for delays or costs arising from unforeseen sub-floor issues.
- Installation dates are estimated and may be subject to change due to supply delays, weather conditions or other factors outside our control. We will notify you as promptly as possible of any changes.
6. Materials and Products
- All products are sourced from reputable suppliers. We will advise on the most suitable products for your needs.
- Colour and texture variations in natural materials (wood, carpet fibres) are inherent characteristics and not considered defects.

- Surplus materials remain the property of LM Flooring unless otherwise agreed.
7. Warranties and Guarantees
- Our installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion.
- Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and vary by product. Details are available on request.
- Warranties are void if damage results from misuse, improper maintenance, water damage, structural movement or alterations carried out by third parties.
8. Cancellation
- You may cancel your order prior to delivery of materials without charge.
- If materials have been ordered or cut to specification, cancellation charges may apply to cover material costs.
- If you cancel within 48 hours of a scheduled installation, a call-out charge may apply.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an installation if site conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, our total liability in connection with any installation or supply of goods shall not exceed the total value of the contract.
